Dr. John MIchael Thomassen

Biography

Dr. John Michael Thomassen is a board certified plastic surgeon in Fort Lauderdale. He specializes in Cosmetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery including rhinoplasty, facelifts, cosmetic breast surgery and body contouring. Due to his excellent training, years of experience, and dedication to his specialty, Dr. Thomassen is considered one of the best plastic surgeons in Fort Lauderdale and South Florida. He completed an Integrated Plastic Surgery and General Surgery Residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington DC. Before this Dr. Thomassen returned home to obtain his Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Puerto Rico, graduating Magna Cum Laude. During this time he obtained a scholarship to study neurosciences at the National Institutes of Health for 1 year. As an undergraduate, he obtained a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering Degree from Georgia Tech. Dr. Thomassen is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon by the American Board of Plastic surgery. He is also an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery. As mentioned he concentrates his practice on cosmetic surgery of the face, nose, breasts, and body. His practice also includes extensive experience in breast reconstruction.
