Biography

With a remarkable career spanning more than two decades in South Florida, Dr. Max Polo is a distinguished board-certified plastic surgeon, renowned for his commitment to enhancing individuals' natural beauty. His journey to becoming a prominent figure in Miami's plastic surgery landscape began with over eleven successful years in solo practice before receiving an invitation to join the prestigious Miami Plastic Surgery group in 2014. Dr. Polo's practice encompasses a wide spectrum of aesthetic procedures, both non-surgical and surgical, with a strong focus on facial rejuvenation. His expertise shines in techniques such as neuromodulators (such as Botox), soft tissue fillers, Kybella, and thread lifts. Additionally, he has honed his skills in various aesthetic facial surgeries, including InMode – FaceTite RFAL/skin tightening, brow lifts, blepharoplasty, face lifts, neck lifts, and neck liposuction. While excelling in facial procedures, Dr. Polo's true passion lies in breast and body contouring. His educational journey began at Tampa Jesuit High School and continued with an Ivy League undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Biology. He subsequently obtained his doctorate degree from the University Of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, and completed eight years of post-graduate surgery specialty training, including two residencies and an elective fellowship. His training culminated in a prestigious Plastic Surgery residency at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Dr. Polo's contributions to the field extend beyond his clinical practice, with numerous national presentations and publications in peer-reviewed journals. His dedication to research was recognized by the American Burn Association, which awarded him the Carl A. Moyer Award for outstanding research. Dr. Polo is equally committed to education, currently serving as a voluntary clinical assistant professor at Florida International University, Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.
