Dr Sharp is a Queensland trained Specialist Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgeon. He obtained Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons after undertaking eight years of accredited specialist training; three years in General Surgery, followed by five years in Plastic Surgery. A Visiting Specialist at Greenslopes Private Hospital and South Bank Day Hospital. Dr Sharp is also an Associate Lecturer at the University of Queensland School of Medicine. After completing a Bachelor of Psychology and undertaking a Bachelor of Science, Dr Sharp completed a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland, followed by a further 10 years of surgical training. Upon acceptance into the Royal Australasian College of Surgeon’s general surgery training program, Dr Sharp spent a number of years in some of Australia’s leading metropolitan and regional health centres, before undertaking five years of specialist training in plastic surgery in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. He has completed over 20,000 surgical procedures. His research into trauma, skin cancer and head and neck reconstruction has been published in international plastic surgery journals and presented at conferences both locally and overseas.

Having graduated from Oxford University in 1994 with a First Class Honours Degree in Medicine & Surgery, Dr Paul Belt completed his basic general surgical training and obtained his FRCS(Eng) in 1998. His Advanced Training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery was completed in Brisbane where he spent two years at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, one year at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, and a further year at the Mater Hospital. He then completed an additional year of training as a Fellow in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in Oxford and London.
