Dr. Jimmy C. Sung is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon practicing in New York City. He offers an extensive range of surgical and noninvasive procedures for the face, breast, and body at his practice in Manhattan’s Financial District, but Dr. Sung is best known for his expertise with breast enhancement, tummy tucks, and full mommy makeovers, as well as eyelid surgery and rhinoplasty. Patients enjoy his friendly and compassionate bedside manner, in addition to his artistic and natural-looking results. After graduating with honors from the University of Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, Dr. Sung was awarded a scholarship to the University of Illinois, from which he graduated with doctorates in both medicine (MD) and law (JD). He completed a residency in general surgery at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, where he was chief resident, followed by a plastic surgery residency with honors from the prestigious University of Pittsburgh. There, he was named chief administrative resident. Dr. Sung is frequently called upon by the medical community and the media to share his expertise in multicultural plastic surgery and nonsurgical aesthetic techniques. He travels globally to attend industry conferences to stay current on the most cutting-edge technologies and methodologies in aesthetic medicine. Dr. Sung is an active member of multiple professional organizations, including The New York State Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is also a faculty member at Weill Cornell Medical College in the plastic and reconstructive surgery department. When Dr. Sung isn’t working, he enjoys travel, photography, and film. He is a resident of Manhattan, and is fluent in both English and Mandarin.
