Dr Lauren Buchanan is a specialist dermatologist and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. Dr Buchanan completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Queensland before completing her medical degree, also at the University of Queensland, graduating with honours. She also has a Master’s degree in Public Health and has been published in peer-reviewed journals. Her advanced training in dermatology was undertaken at various locations in Queensland including: the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Cairns Base Hospital, Queensland Institute of Dermatology, Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital, Mater Adults and Children’s Hospital and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Dr Buchanan was awarded the Kossard Award for Dermatopathology in her fellowship exams. Dr Buchanan enjoys managing all facets of general dermatology, as well as the treatment and early detection of skin cancer.
