Dr. Matthew S Kilgo - Plastic Surgeon in New York

Dr. Matthew Kilgo is a board-certified plastic surgeon and has been a partner at New York Plastic Surgical Group, a Division of Long Island Plastic Surgical Group since 2005. Dr. Kilgo graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Loyola University of Chicago in 1989 and later received his MD from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He went on to complete a general surgery internship and residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison. After residency, Dr. Kilgo received additional general surgical training with a focus on breast and vascular surgery at the Gloucestershire Hospitals in the United Kingdom, where he served as a visiting surgical fellow for one year. Next, he completed a plastic surgery residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine followed by an additional year of fellowship training in cancer reconstruction at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Since 2014, Dr. Kilgo has been named to the prestigious list of “Top Doctors in the NY Metro Area” by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd, a group nominated by their peers and considered to be among the top 10-15% of physicians in their specialty. In addition, Dr. Kilgo has also been named to the “Best Doctors in America” list based on polling of over 45,000 physicians in the United States. Since 2022, Dr. Kilgo has been named to Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Plastic Surgeons for breast augmentation. Most recently, he was also recognized by Newsweek in the 2024 liposuction category. Finally, Dr. Kilgo is proud to be a part of the Breast Program Leadership Committee at NYU Langone Hospital Long Island.
