Dr. Michael Burnstine - Oculoplastic Surgeon in Los Angeles

Dr. Michael Burnstine earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. He completed his internship at Massachusetts General Hospital, residency and chief residency at Kellogg Eye Center at the University of Michigan, and fellowship at University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago with Allen M. Putterman, M.D. He subsequently was recruited to become the Director of the Oculofacial Surgery Division at the Doheny Eye Institute at USC prior to joining Dr. Steven Dresner and forming Eyesthetica. At both USC and Eyesthetica, Dr. Burnstine served as the medical director of the offices. Dr. Burnstine is currently a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology (part time) at the University of Southern California Roski Eye Institute, teaching ophthalmology residents and fellows the finer points of oculofacial surgery. He is the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) Fellowship Program Director at Keck Medicine of the University of Southern California, one of sixty such programs across the U.S. He has helped train many oculofacial plastic surgery fellows (13), USC ophthalmology residents and USC medical students.
