Dr. Puyana is a native of Colombia and pursued a degree in biomedical engineering at the prestigious University of Miami in Florida. He was eager to expand his knowledge, he went on to pursue a Masters in Industrial Engineering specialized in healthcare at the same institution and graduated with an Award of Academic Merit.

Doctor Marcelo Ghersi grew up in South Florida. He attended the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he obtained his medical doctorate degree. Dr. Ghersi later returned to South Florida to pursue post-graduate training.
